FAQs

Yes, I’m fully licensed by the Bristol City Council (Licence Number AWLA/121320) for up to 5 dogs, but I choose to care for no more than 3 or 4 at a time. This way, I can give each dog the calm, individual attention they deserve, without things ever feeling busy or overwhelming.

I care for toy or small breed dogs up to 10kg as often small dogs prefer to enjoy the company of other small dogs.

I’ve been caring for dogs for many years, and since starting Jackson Tiny Tails, I’ve created a calm, loving home where every dog is treated like family. I only welcome a small number of little dogs at a time, so I can get to know each one and give them the attention, comfort, and gentle care they deserve.

Yes, please. Keeping your dog on their usual diet is important for their comfort and health. It helps avoid upset tummies during their stay. You can also bring their treats, favourite bowl, or anything else that makes them feel settled.

At the moment, I don’t offer transport, I’ve found it’s best for owners to drop off and collect their dogs themselves.

Absolutely. Whether you’re away for a weekend or a few weeks, your dog will be part of my home for the whole stay. For longer bookings, it’s especially important to do a couple of trial visits first, so they feel relaxed and happy from the start.

To meet licensing requirements, any dog staying for longer than three nights must complete an overnight trial first. Some owners also like to arrange shorter trial visits, such as a couple of hours or a half-day, to help their dog get used to me and my home, but this is completely optional.

Dogs sleep where they feel most comfortable, just as they do at home. Many choose to curl up on my bed, and I’m very happy for them to do so. Others prefer their own bed or a cosy spot elsewhere. The important thing is that they settle down to sleep feeling safe and secure.
